Class Cost: $42

A great finishing class! Caroline will teach how to assemble a biscornu. It is helpful if the student knows how to do a whip or ladder stitch, but Caroline will demonstrate these techniques in class. She will also show two versions of a quilter's knot for tying on and off. Stuffing will be provided; please bring a completely stitched biscornu of your choice for assembly. Most patterns will have a backstitched border charted, but if it does not, please backstitch a border two rows away from the stitching. The border is required to assemble your biscornu. Caroline recommends marking the centers of each edge with a single perpendicular backstitch to the border if the chart does not. This backstitch will be covered up during assembly. Smaller biscornus are recommended, but you may also bring a larger one to class.

Please bring your fully stitched biscornu the thread that was used for the backstitched border, normal stitching supplies (be sure you have a tapestry needle) to class, along with extra lighting and magnification if needed.

Pictured is a beginner biscornu whose pattern can be downloaded if you don't already have one. Check out this Etsy listing for details: https://www.etsy.com/listing/1664129739/biscornu-cross-stitch-pattern-for
